AI Designed
Around People
Meridium was founded in Hong Kong with a clear conviction: that meaningful AI adoption begins with understanding the humans it will serve, not the technology itself.

Our Founding
Meridium grew from a small working group at Hong Kong Science Park in 2021, where a handful of practitioners — drawn from data science, product design, and organisational strategy — found themselves repeatedly answering the same question from clients: "Where do we even begin with AI?"
The answer, they discovered, was never purely technical. It required listening, framing, and a willingness to challenge assumptions about what AI could and should do. Meridium was established to offer exactly that kind of thoughtful partnership.
Our Mission
We help organisations in Hong Kong and across the Asia Pacific region integrate AI in ways that are genuinely useful, ethically considered, and sustainable over time. We are not interested in deploying AI for its own sake.
Our work is grounded in understanding your actual operations, your team's capabilities, and the communities your organisation serves. From there, we design AI solutions that fit — and can be maintained — by real people in real contexts.
Clarity Before Complexity
We spend time understanding the problem before proposing solutions. A clear problem statement is worth more than a sophisticated model applied to the wrong question.
Partnership Over Delivery
We build with your team, not simply for them. Transferring understanding and capability is as important as shipping the work itself.
Considered AI Practice
Ethics, privacy, and fairness are not optional extras. They are built into our process from the first conversation, not addressed as an afterthought.
Our Core Team

Quality Standards
Every project at Meridium follows consistent standards for process quality, data handling, and client care.
Data Privacy by Default
We operate under Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. Client data is handled under formal agreements and deleted upon project completion unless otherwise arranged.
Clear Scoping and Documentation
Every engagement begins with a written scope of work. Decisions, changes, and rationale are documented throughout so your team has a full record.
Regular Communication
Weekly progress updates and open access to our project management tools keep you informed at every stage, with no waiting for formal reports.
Tested Before Delivery
All implementations go through structured testing with edge cases and real-world data before handover. We don't ship work we wouldn't use ourselves.
Knowledge Transfer
Handovers include documentation, training sessions, and a period of supported transition so your team feels confident managing what we've built together.
Ethical Review at Each Stage
We conduct internal ethics checks at scoping, mid-project, and before delivery to identify and address potential concerns before they become problems.
AI Consulting in Hong Kong
Hong Kong's position as a regional hub for finance, logistics, and professional services creates distinctive conditions for AI adoption. Regulatory complexity, multilingual operations, and a workforce accustomed to high-velocity change all shape what works and what doesn't. Meridium understands this environment because we are part of it.
Our work spans data visualisation intelligence for leadership teams, conversational interfaces that reduce friction for frontline staff, and structured sessions that help organisations develop their own ethical frameworks before problems surface. Each of these areas requires domain knowledge, not just technical skill.
We believe AI at its best is quiet — it removes obstacles, surfaces what matters, and frees people to focus on work that calls for human judgment. Meridium exists to help organisations reach that state thoughtfully, without shortcuts that create problems further down the road.
